Kathmandu. The 18th Godawari Flower Competitive Exhibition will start from this Wednesday.

The exhibition is being organized by FAN with an objective of promoting the flower business and market with focus on the Tihar festival. The exhibition will be held at Jawalakhel Ground of Lalitpur and will host the presence of 90 stalls. Godawari (chrysanthemum) flower competitions will be held in various forms, and prizes will be distributed to the participants.

More than 420 species of flowering plants, including different species of Godawari flowers, will be exhibited. Apart from Sayapatri (marigold), Makhmali (globe amaranth), other seasonal flowers, decorative plants will also be available for sale and distribution.

The fair is expected to attract over 40,000 people and generate business transactions of over NPR 13 million (1.3 crore). FAN organizes this fair every year during the Tihar festival. The event this year will continue until Kartik 2 (around mid-October).
