Dolakha — The government has fixed the minimum support price (MSP) for paddy. A Cabinet meeting held on Monday set the minimum support price for the 2083/84 fiscal year’s summer paddy harvest.

According to the decision, the price of coarse paddy has been set at Rs 3,660 per quintal, while medium-grade paddy has been fixed at Rs 3,860 per quintal, government spokesperson and Minister for Education Sasmita Pokharel said.

The meeting also decided to approve the reply letter (Letter of Reply) to be sent to the Government of China for the implementation of the Chilime–Kerung transmission line project, which connects Nepal and China.

Similarly, the Cabinet decided to make public the report of the 2082 Commission formed to investigate irregularities in the cooperative sector. In addition, the meeting appointed Joint Secretary Mukesh Dangol as the new Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, it was stated.

The government has fixed the minimum support price for paddy.
